Professional Skills and Specialization

I use classical speech therapy methods based on knowledge of physiology, anatomy, articulation, and age-related norms of speech development. I have experience working with various speech disorders in children and adults, including:

  • Speech Delay (SD) — lag in age-appropriate development of oral language; in children aged 2–5 years, skills in comprehension, pronunciation, and word usage are absent or underdeveloped.

  • Psychomotor Delay (PMD) — reversible delay in the development of mental functions (attention, memory, thinking, emotional-volitional sphere) in children, preventing them from reaching age norms.

  • General Speech Underdevelopment (GSU/ONR) — systemic disorder affecting all components of the speech system (phonetic, lexical, grammatical) in children with normal hearing and intelligence.

  • Rhinolalia — speech disorders caused by cleft palate.

  • Stuttering — disruption of speech rhythm and fluency, manifested by repetition of sounds, syllables, or words.

  • Speech Development Assessment — comprehensive evaluation to determine if speech corresponds to age norms.

  • Articulation Disorders — deviations from standard pronunciation of speech sounds, including distortions, substitutions, blending, or omissions, with normal hearing and intelligence.

  • Phonemic Underdevelopment — difficulties in forming correct sound pronunciation due to problems in auditory perception and discrimination of sounds.

  • Dysarthria — speech production disorder due to organic nervous system damage, limiting the mobility of articulatory muscles (tongue, lips, soft palate) and making speech unclear or slurred.

  • School Preparation — comprehensive development process for children aged 5–7, aimed at forming psychological, intellectual, and social readiness for learning.

  • Pre- and Post-Operative Speech Therapy — normalization of speech breathing, correction of nasal voice quality, and articulation therapy.

  • Cochlear Implant Rehabilitation — working with children after high-tech cochlear implant surgery, which replaces damaged inner ear receptors and stimulates the auditory nerve.

I enjoy working with children and easily establish rapport with them. Sessions are conducted in a playful manner, often with parents present.

I also work with adults on stuttering and articulation disorders and provide post-stroke speech consultations.

Belief: Beautiful speech contributes to a happy and successful life!

Summary: Highly experienced speech therapist with 45 years of professional practice.
